Meet Our Scarlett

Scarlett is a very special girl in our family. She is a purebred Fox Red Labrador Retriever with a beautiful deep red coat, but what matters most to me is who she is as a dog.

She loves being with us and being part of everyday family life. She enjoys walks, running through the fields, retrieving balls and sticks, puzzle toys and training. She is playful and active, but she also knows how to come home, settle down and relax with the family.

Scarlett is intelligent and eager to please. I enjoy working with her because she listens, responds well to recall and genuinely likes learning. She has the happy Labrador personality I love, along with a very affectionate side.

Scarlett’s Temperament and Personality

Scarlett has a lovely balance to her personality. She is always happy to go outside with us, play a game or work on training, but she is just as comfortable settling down after the activity is over.

She is affectionate and very connected to people. Scarlett likes to know what we are doing and wants to be included. That people-loving nature is one of the reasons I feel she is such a good fit for our Mini Labradoodle program.

Her intelligence is also very noticeable. She enjoys puzzle toys, recall work and anything that gives her a job to do. She learns quickly and likes the interaction that comes with training.

What Is a Fox Red Labrador Retriever?

Fox red is not a separate Labrador breed. It is a deeper shade within the yellow Labrador Retriever colour range. Scarlett has that warm, rich red colouring together with the affectionate and people-focused personality I love in a Labrador.

Why Scarlett Is Part of Our Mini Labradoodle Program

I chose Scarlett for our program because of much more than her colour. I look at the whole dog: temperament, health, structure, intelligence, family nature and how well the planned parents complement one another.

Scarlett brings affection, loyalty, playfulness, intelligence and a real desire to be with people. The Miniature Poodle selected for her will be chosen carefully to complement those qualities and support the goals I have for her puppies.

Scarlett’s Future F1 Mini Labradoodles

Scarlett is a purebred Labrador Retriever. When she is paired with a Miniature Poodle, her puppies will be first-generation, or F1, Mini Labradoodles.

Health testing is very important to me when I plan a breeding. Scarlett has completed DNA health screening for inherited conditions associated with her Labrador Retriever background.

Coat and Colour Goals for Scarlett’s Puppies

Scarlett’s F1 Mini Labradoodle program is planned for furnished, non-shedding coats ranging from soft waves to more defined curls. These coats still need regular brushing, combing and professional grooming.

What I Hope Scarlett Passes On

Every puppy will still have his or her own personality. As they grow, I spend time observing them so I can help families understand the differences between the puppies and make a thoughtful selection.
