Luna - F1 Goldendoodle Ontario at Cucciolini Doodles

Luna’s 2027 F1B Goldendoodle Puppies

Upcoming 2027 Goldendoodle Litter — Applications Open

We are very excited about Luna’s future F1B Goldendoodle puppies in Ontario and the beautiful combination of temperament, intelligence, health, coat and colour genetics behind this thoughtfully planned 2027 litter.

Luna is our beautiful Red F1 Goldendoodle and a very special part of our family. Her sweet, sensitive and wonderfully playful personality gives us the kind of foundation we value when planning future family-raised Goldendoodle puppies.

At Cucciolini Doodles, planning a litter begins long before puppies arrive. Temperament, health, structure, size, coat characteristics and colour genetics are considered together so that each pairing has a purpose beyond appearance alone.

Our goal is to raise Goldendoodle puppies with a strong foundation for becoming loving, intelligent, trainable and deeply connected family companions.

Families interested in Luna’s future puppies are welcome to follow our Upcoming Litters, learn about Our Adoption Process and complete our Adoption Application when they are ready to begin their journey.

Meet Luna – Our Beautiful Red F1 Goldendoodle

Luna is one of those dogs who can be sweet, sensitive and wonderfully silly all at the same time.

She has a gentle emotional side and seems very aware of the people around her. Luna enjoys being close to our family and naturally becomes part of whatever is happening without needing to demand constant attention.

Then there is her playful side.

She loves her walks, exploring interesting new scents, playing fetch and carrying around her favourite toys. She has funny little habits, expressive looks and those wonderfully goofy moments that continually make us laugh.

Luna is also incredibly affectionate. She bonds closely with the people she loves and enjoys being included in everyday family life.

She can be energetic and playful when it is time for activity, then happily settle when the house becomes quiet. That natural transition between activity and relaxation is one of the qualities we appreciate most about her.

At approximately 45 pounds and 22 inches tall, Luna is a lovely medium-sized F1 Goldendoodle. Your current Meet Luna page lists these as her present measurements.

Her rich red coat is beautiful, but her appearance is only part of what makes Luna special.

Her sweetness, intelligence, sensitivity, humour and loving connection to our family are the qualities at the heart of her future Goldendoodle program.

Families can learn even more about her on our Meet Luna – Our Beautiful Goldendoodle page.

Luna’s Future Pairing

Luna’s future pairing will be chosen with great care, with temperament, health, structure, coat and colour genetics all considered together. Our goal is to complement Luna’s sweet, affectionate and sensitive nature with the same calm, intelligent and loving qualities we value throughout our Poodle lines.

We do not choose a pairing simply because two dogs can produce attractive puppies.

Colour and coat are exciting, but they belong within a much larger picture.

Temperament, genetic health information, structure, size, coat genetics and the compatibility of both parents are considered together when planning Luna’s future F1B Goldendoodle puppies.

The Goldendoodle Temperament We Are Breeding For

Luna gives us a wonderful foundation for the temperament we value.

She is affectionate and people-oriented while still having a softer, sensitive side. She enjoys play, family activity and attention, yet she can settle comfortably when it is time to relax.

Throughout our Poodle lines, we value the same docile, intelligent, affectionate and family-oriented temperament.

We are breeding for Goldendoodles with a strong foundation for:

Gentle and affectionate personalities

Intelligence and trainability

Social confidence

Strong connections with their families

Playfulness and curiosity

The ability to enjoy activity and then settle

Emotional awareness

Comfortable everyday companionship

Beautiful furnished Goldendoodle coats

Every puppy will still develop an individual personality.

One puppy might be particularly adventurous, another may prefer cuddling, while another could be quieter and more observant. Those individual differences are part of what makes every litter special.

We spend time observing our puppies as they develop so we can help families understand the personalities growing within each litter.

Goldendoodles are bred primarily as companion dogs, and the Goldendoodle Association of North America places importance on a friendly, reliable and stable Goldendoodle temperament.

Luna’s DNA Health Testing

Health information is an important part of our breeding decisions.

Luna has completed extensive DNA health screening. Genetic testing helps us identify inherited variants included within her testing panel and gives us valuable information when planning an appropriate future pairing.

Families can also read about Luna and our other parent dogs on our DNA Tested Doodles Ontario page.

Luna’s DNA Health Results

Luna’s current health-testing information includes CLEAR results for:

Progressive Retinal Atrophy, PRCD-PRA — CLEAR

Golden Retriever PRA1, GR-PRA1 — CLEAR

Golden Retriever PRA2, GR-PRA2 — CLEAR

Von Willebrand Disease Type I — CLEAR

Von Willebrand Disease Type II — CLEAR

Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures, NEWS — CLEAR

Degenerative Myelopathy, DM SOD1A — CLEAR

Exercise-Induced Collapse, EIC — CLEAR

Hereditary Cataracts — CLEAR

GM2 Gangliosidosis — CLEAR

Golden Retriever Type Ichthyosis — CLEAR

Osteochondrodysplasia – Poodle Variant — CLEAR

CDDY / IVDD — CLEAR

Multidrug Resistance 1, MDR1 — CLEAR

Your current DNA Tested Doodles page lists these conditions for Luna.

DNA testing is a valuable breeding tool, but we do not describe it as proof that a dog can never develop a health problem.

Veterinary care, temperament, structure, family history, the health information available for both parents and the complete suitability of a pairing are also important.

Understanding Luna’s F1B Goldendoodle Puppies

Luna is an F1 Goldendoodle, meaning she comes from Golden Retriever and Poodle parentage.

When an F1 Goldendoodle is paired with a Poodle, the resulting puppies are commonly known as F1B Goldendoodles.

The additional Poodle influence is one reason families are often interested in F1B Goldendoodles when looking for furnishings, beautiful Doodle coats and lower-shedding characteristics.

Generation alone, however, does not tell us everything about a puppy.

The actual coat genes inherited by each puppy are more meaningful than relying only on the letters F1 or F1B.

That is why coat genetics are considered as part of our breeding decisions.

Goldendoodle Generations Explained

F1 Goldendoodle

An F1 Goldendoodle comes from Golden Retriever and Poodle parentage.

Luna herself is an F1 Goldendoodle.

F1 dogs can show a beautiful combination of characteristics from both founding breeds. Coat texture and shedding can vary from dog to dog.

F1B Goldendoodle

An F1B Goldendoodle is commonly created by pairing an F1 Goldendoodle with a Poodle.

This is the generation planned for Luna’s future puppies.

The additional Poodle contribution can provide a greater likelihood of furnishings and lower-shedding coat characteristics.

F1BB Goldendoodle

An F1BB Goldendoodle is generally created by backcrossing an F1B Goldendoodle again, commonly to a Poodle.

This increases the Poodle contribution, although individual coat characteristics can still vary.

F2 Goldendoodle

An F2 Goldendoodle generally comes from two F1 Goldendoodle parents.

Coat inheritance can be variable, which is why looking at actual coat genetics is more useful than assuming a particular percentage of a litter will automatically have one coat type.

F2B & Multigenerational Goldendoodles

Later Goldendoodle generations can involve different combinations of Goldendoodle and Poodle ancestry.

As a breeding program progresses, information about pedigree, DNA, coat genetics, health, temperament and structure can help guide future decisions.

No generation by itself makes one puppy better than another.

The parents and breeding decisions behind the puppy are far more important.

Beautiful Colours in Luna’s Goldendoodle Program

Luna’s beautiful red colouring provides a wonderful foundation for our future Red Goldendoodle puppies in Ontario.

Her future pairing will be selected to complement her coat and colour genetics as part of the complete breeding decision.

Luna’s Goldendoodle program is designed around a beautiful range of colours and patterns including:

Deep Red

Red

Apricot

Golden / Apricot

Chocolate / Brown

Parti

Red Parti

Phantom

Black & White

Tri-Colour

Other complementary colours and markings supported by the confirmed pairing

Every puppy will have an individual appearance.

A parti puppy’s markings can differ dramatically from its littermates, while reds and apricots can vary in depth and tone.

Colour is exciting, but health and temperament remain more important than colour alone.

Goldendoodle Coat Types

Goldendoodle coats can range from loose and flowing to wavy or curlier textures.

A puppy’s coat can also continue changing as the dog matures.

Wavy Goldendoodle Coats

A wavy coat creates the soft, flowing Doodle appearance many families love.

Wavy coats still require consistent brushing and combing because longer furnished hair can tangle even when the coat is not tightly curled.

Curlier Goldendoodle Coats

Curlier coats show stronger Poodle coat influence.

Loose hair can remain trapped within the coat rather than dropping easily around the home, which makes regular grooming especially important.

A lower-shedding coat does not necessarily mean an easier-to-maintain coat.

Often it requires more brushing.

Are F1B Goldendoodles Lower Shedding?

F1B Goldendoodles can have a greater likelihood of furnished, lower-shedding coats because of the increased Poodle influence.

This is one reason F1B Goldendoodle puppies are so popular with families.

However, shedding exists on a spectrum.

No Goldendoodle should be guaranteed completely hypoallergenic simply because of its generation.

Allergens can be associated with dander and saliva as well as hair.

Families with significant allergies should consider their individual sensitivity when choosing any puppy.

Expected Size of Luna’s F1B Goldendoodle Puppies

Luna is approximately 45 pounds and 22 inches tall.

The eventual adult size of her puppies will also depend on the size and genetics of the Poodle selected for her pairing.

Once Luna’s future pairings are finalized, we will clearly publish the expected adult size range for that particular litter.

This allows us to thoughtfully plan the size of her future Goldendoodles rather than giving families an unnecessarily broad estimate.

The Golden Retriever Behind the Goldendoodle

The Golden Retriever is one of the two founding breeds behind the Goldendoodle.

Golden Retrievers have long been valued as friendly, trainable companion and working dogs. Their temperament and desire to cooperate with people are important qualities within the breed.

The Golden Retriever Club of America places particular importance on stable Golden Retriever temperament when considering breeding dogs.

Luna’s Golden Retriever heritage is part of her background, but we still evaluate Luna herself rather than assuming every breed characteristic automatically appears in every individual dog.

The Poodle Behind the Goldendoodle

The Poodle contributes far more to a Goldendoodle than coat.

Poodles are intelligent, athletic dogs with a long history of working closely with people.

Throughout our own Poodle lines, we especially value intelligence, trainability, docile temperament, affection and family companionship.

Those qualities are considered alongside structure, coat, colour, size and health information when planning Luna’s future pairing.

Goldendoodles & Family Companionship

Goldendoodles generally enjoy being involved in family life.

They are often happiest when they can participate in walks, games, outings, training and quieter moments around the home.

Our original Luna page also linked the phrase Goldendoodles thrive on companionship to a Goldendoodle resource.

You can keep that original affiliate link on this phrase:

Goldendoodles thrive on companionship

For Luna herself, companionship is clearly important. She loves knowing her family is nearby and enjoys being included without needing constant attention.

Dogs should also gradually learn how to settle and spend appropriate periods independently.

Balance is important.

Socialization Starts Early

Socialization is not about overwhelming a puppy with every possible experience in the first few weeks.

We believe it means providing positive, age-appropriate experiences that help puppies learn about the world safely.

Early experiences can include gentle handling, household sounds, new textures, people, normal home activity, and gradually expanding environments.

As puppies mature, their experiences continue growing.

Families can learn more through our complete puppy socialization and training guide. Your original Luna page already linked to this resource, so I have retained it.

Training a Goldendoodle Puppy

Goldendoodles can be enjoyable dogs to train because intelligence and cooperation are valued within both founding breeds.

Training is most effective when expectations are consistent, and puppies are rewarded for making good choices.

Early learning can include:

Name recognition

Recall

Sit

Down

Comfortable leash introduction

Crate familiarity

Handling

Beginning household manners

Learning how to settle

Short, enjoyable sessions are usually better than expecting a young puppy to concentrate for long periods.

Recall Training

Recall is one of the most valuable behaviours a family can teach.

Begin where distractions are low, and the puppy has an excellent chance of succeeding.

Calling your puppy, rewarding the return and making coming back to you enjoyable builds the foundation for reliable recall.

Distractions can gradually increase as your puppy matures.

Luna herself responds beautifully to recall, which is one of the things we appreciate about her.

Mental Stimulation for Goldendoodles

Goldendoodles benefit from opportunities to exercise their minds as well as their bodies.

Activities can include:

Puzzle toys

Food enrichment

Retrieving

Scent games

Hide and seek

Short training sessions

Learning new behaviours

Interactive games with family

Luna enjoys activities that make her think and investigate.

Just as importantly, puppies need to learn how to rest and settle.

They do not need constant entertainment throughout the day.

Exercise for Goldendoodle Puppies

Exercise should develop gradually as a puppy grows.

For young puppies, we prefer age-appropriate activity, self-paced play, short exploratory walks, gentle training and opportunities to sniff and discover their environment.

Young growing puppies should not be encouraged to repeatedly jump from significant heights or participate in prolonged forced exercise.

Individual activity needs vary according to age, health, size, development and the puppy itself.

As your puppy matures, your veterinarian can help you determine an appropriate exercise routine.

Adult Goldendoodle Exercise

Adult Goldendoodles generally enjoy regular activity and mental enrichment.

Depending on the individual dog, activities can include:

Walking

Hiking

Fetch

Swimming

Training games

Exploring

Family outings

Scent work

The goal should not simply be to exhaust a dog.

Physical exercise, mental activity, companionship and appropriate rest all contribute to a balanced routine.

Goldendoodle Grooming & Coat Care

A beautiful Goldendoodle coat requires regular maintenance.

Regardless of whether a puppy develops a softer wave or a curlier adult coat, brushing and combing are important for preventing tangles and mats.

Starting grooming routines while puppies are young helps them become comfortable with handling.

Brushing & Combing

A long-pin slicker brush combined with a good metal comb is useful for maintaining furnished Goldendoodle coats.

This is the same Amazon affiliate product link already used on Luna’s original Nursery page.

Brush through the complete coat rather than only smoothing the surface.

Pay particular attention to:

Behind the ears

Under the legs

Around the collar

Chest

Tail

Areas where the coat rubs against a harness

Professional Grooming

Professional grooming should become a normal part of a Goldendoodle’s life.

The ideal interval varies according to coat length, texture, lifestyle and the style the family wants to maintain.

Bathing

Goldendoodles can be bathed as needed using an appropriate dog shampoo.

Tangles should be checked before and after bathing, and the coat should be dried thoroughly.

Ear Care

Floppy, furnished ears deserve regular attention.

Persistent scratching, odour, redness, discharge or discomfort should be discussed with your veterinarian.

Nail Care

Regular nail maintenance prevents overgrowth.

Getting puppies accustomed to having their paws touched from an early age can make nail care and grooming much easier.

Dental Care

Dental care should also become part of a dog’s lifelong routine.

Families can discuss appropriate brushing and preventative dental care with their veterinarian.

Skin, Flea, Tick & Parasite Care

Regular grooming allows families to inspect their dog’s skin.

Look for unusual:

Redness

Irritation

Lumps or bumps

Tender areas

Parasites

Changes in the skin or coat

Flea, tick, and parasite prevention needs vary according to lifestyle and location.

Your veterinarian can recommend the appropriate preventative care for your puppy.

Nutrition & Feeding

Nutrition plays an important role during growth.

Rather than providing one fixed amount of food for every Goldendoodle, feeding should consider:

Age

Expected adult size

Body condition

Activity

Metabolism

The nutritional density of the chosen food

Families receive practical puppy nutrition guidance as part of the information available through Cucciolini Doodles. Your old Luna page linked its nutrition information to this section of your website, so that internal connection is retained.

Fresh water should always be available.

Treats are useful during training, but they should remain only part of the puppy’s overall daily nutrition.

Goldendoodle Lifespan & Lifelong Care

Every dog is an individual, so no breeder can promise exactly how long a particular puppy will live.

Good lifelong care includes:

Appropriate nutrition

Veterinary care

Maintaining healthy body condition

Regular exercise

Dental care

Grooming

Preventative health care

Companionship and enrichment

Our responsibility begins long before a puppy is born, while the family’s responsibility continues throughout the many wonderful years that follow.

Preparing for Your Goldendoodle Puppy

The weeks before pickup are an exciting time.

A little preparation can make the transition home much easier.

Before the puppy arrives, families can prepare:

A safe sleeping area

Puppy food

Food and water bowls

Crate or safe resting area

Collar or harness

Leash

Toys

Appropriate chews

Grooming tools

Cleaning supplies

A puppy-safe area of the home

We also recommend choosing your veterinarian before your puppy comes home.

For additional preparation, visit our New Puppy Checklist. Your original Luna page already used this page for its potty-training information.

On Pickup Day

Pickup day is one of the most meaningful moments of the puppy journey.

It is when a puppy leaves the home and mother it has known and begins life with the family who has been waiting for it.

We want families to leave with much more than their new puppy.

We want you to leave with information, records, useful supplies and the reassurance that our support continues after pickup day.

Our families receive access to six weeks of complimentary Petsecure pet insurance during the important transition into the new home.

Families can review current Petsecure plans and coverage if they wish to continue coverage after the complimentary period.

Because insurance products and policy terms can change, families should review the current Petsecure information provided when their puppy goes home.

Puppy Food & Comfort Items

A change of home is already a major adjustment for a young puppy, so we do not want families to make an abrupt food change at the same time.

Your puppy comes home with approximately one week’s supply of the Royal Canin food it has been eating.

Important when you paste this: keep the existing Amazon affiliate hyperlink currently attached to ROYAL CANIN food on your old Luna page. Your live page still contains that affiliate link.

Your puppy’s take-home package can also include:

A scented blanket

Toy

Harness

Collar

Bandana

Scented waste bags

Additional puppy goodies

The exact contents can vary, but the purpose is always to help make those first days at home a little easier.

Guidance for Your Puppy’s First Days at Home

Families also receive information to help establish good routines from the beginning.

This includes guidance on:

Creating a daily routine

Feeding times and portions

Potty training techniques

Crate training

Grooming

Socialization

Training

Handling

Veterinary follow-up

Helping your puppy settle

Your original Luna page already links Potty Training Techniques to the New Puppy Checklist, and I have retained that internal link here.

For Crate Training, you can also link internally to your Puppy Stages guide, which already contains a dedicated crate-training section.
