Welcoming a puppy into your family is an exciting adventure, and one common question from prospective dog owners is: How do I choose the right puppy? At Cucciolini Doodles, we’re thrilled to offer the opportunity to find your furry companion. The health and well-being of our puppies are of utmost importance to us, which is why we’ve developed a careful selection process to ensure they are well cared for at every stage. Your new puppy deserves the best, and we’re dedicated to providing that with love and care.
Selecting Your Cucciolini Doodle Puppy
Choosing your puppy is one of the most exciting parts of the Cucciolini Doodles experience. We want families to feel involved while also having enough information to make a thoughtful decision.
Puppy selection is about much more than choosing a favourite colour or photograph. As the puppies grow, we observe their development and help approved families consider personality, confidence, energy level, sociability, expected adult size, coat and overall family fit.
Approximately 10 Days — First Individual Photographs
At approximately 10 days after birth, we take the first individual photographs of the puppies.
At this stage the puppies are still very young, so these photographs are primarily an opportunity for families to see how the litter is developing. Personality and temperament are not determined from an early photograph.
Approximately Five Weeks — Photos, Video & Development Updates
At approximately five weeks, we provide another set of individual photographs together with video.
By this stage we have spent considerably more time observing the puppies and can share useful information about how they are developing and interacting.
We look at qualities such as confidence, energy level, sociability, responsiveness, comfort with handling and general personality while remembering that every puppy continues to develop after leaving the breeder.
Personal Guidance During Selection
Carmelina personally guides approved families through the selection process.
We listen to what matters to your family and help you consider the puppies available to you. Factors may include children in the home, activity level, previous dog experience, preferred size, coat expectations and the type of companion you hope to welcome.
Gender preference can be noted, but cannot be guaranteed because the number of males and females varies with each litter.
Why We Do Not Offer In-Person Visits
Cucciolini Doodles does not offer in-person puppy or parent-dog visits. Our puppies are raised within our family home, and limiting outside traffic protects the health of young puppies, reduces disruption for nursing mothers and protects the privacy and routine of our family dogs.
Instead, families receive photographs, video, updates and personal guidance throughout the puppy-selection process.
Our Goal
Our goal is not simply to help you choose the prettiest puppy. We want you to feel confident that you have considered the puppy as a whole—temperament, expected size, coat, lifestyle fit and the responsibilities of raising a young dog.
We are here to guide you throughout that process and continue supporting you after your puppy goes home.
