Meet Our Sweet Elina

Elina is our beautiful F1 Bernedoodle and one of the gentlest girls at Cucciolini Doodles. She has a warm, affectionate nature and a calm way of making the people around her feel comfortable. She loves attention, enjoys being included in our everyday routines and has a softness about her that is very easy to love.

What stands out most about Elina is the way she connects with different generations. She is loving with children, tender around seniors and naturally gentle when receiving affection. She does not need to be the centre of attention to be happy. She is content staying close, sharing a quiet moment and simply being part of the everyday life happening around her.

What Does F1 Bernedoodle Mean?

Elina is an F1 Bernedoodle, meaning her parentage combines a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. These two parent breeds bring different histories and characteristics to a Bernedoodle. The Canadian Kennel Club describes the Bernese Mountain Dog temperament as one of the breed’s strongest assets, while the Standard Poodle coat and breed profile reflect the Poodle traits that may influence a Bernedoodle pairing.

Elina herself is an individual, so we do not assume that every trait associated with either parent breed will appear in exactly the same way. What we can evaluate is the dog in front of us: her temperament, health information, structure, coat and the way she lives within our family.

Elina and Our Future F1B Bernedoodle Plans

Depending on the sire selected for a future litter, Elina may become the mother of F1B Bernedoodle puppies. An F1B Bernedoodle is generally produced by pairing an F1 Bernedoodle with a Poodle. This type of pairing may help create more consistent furnishings and a greater chance of lower-shedding coat qualities, although coat type, shedding, size and colour can still vary from puppy to puppy.

Elina’s DNA Health Testing

Responsible breeding begins with understanding the health information available for each parent dog. Elina’s DNA results help guide future pairing decisions and support our goal of reducing avoidable inherited disease. Her listed results are also included on our DNA health testing page.

No affected genetic diseases were reported for the tested conditions listed above. DNA testing is one part of responsible breeding. We also consider veterinary care, temperament, structure, the health of both parents, the suitability of a pairing and the lifelong well-being of every dog in our program.

We do not post complete laboratory certificates publicly because breeding documents can be copied or misused online. Appropriate health information can be reviewed with approved applicants when needed.

Coat, Size and Future Puppy Expectations

Many families search for lower-shedding Bernedoodle puppies in Ontario. An F1B Bernedoodle may have a greater chance of a furnished, lower-shedding coat, but no breeder can guarantee that every puppy will be completely non-shedding or hypoallergenic. Regular brushing, combing and professional grooming remain important.

Colour and coat are beautiful, but they will never be more important than temperament, health and the right home. We want each puppy to be chosen for the love, commitment and companionship that will last throughout the dog’s life.
