Meet Gracie, our beautiful Labradoodle

Gracie’s 2027 F1B Labradoodle Puppies

Expected Arrival: 2027 F1B Labradoodle Puppies in Ontario

 Applications Open

We are very excited to be preparing for Gracie and Max’s upcoming F1B Labradoodle litter.

Expected Arrival: Approximately December 4, 2026
Ready for Forever Families: Approximately January 29, 2027

Gracie and Max’s puppies will produce a beautiful variety of Red & White Parti, Chocolate Parti, Cream and Apricot coats.

Gracie is our beautiful F1 Labradoodle and a very special mother within our Labradoodle program. Her gentle, nurturing personality, intelligence and loving connection with our family are qualities we are very proud to carry forward into this upcoming litter.

Families interested in Gracie’s 2027 Labradoodle puppies are welcome to follow our Upcoming Litters, learn about Our Adoption Process and complete our Adoption Application when they are ready to begin.

Meet Gracie – Our Beautiful F1 Labradoodle

Gracie has a warmth about her that is difficult to describe until you spend time with her.

She is affectionate without needing to demand attention and has a gentle way of simply becoming part of whatever is happening around her.

There is a peacefulness to Gracie that we have always loved.

She enjoys closeness and cuddles, recognizes familiar family routines and is happiest when she knows she is included. She has a naturally nurturing personality and a tenderness that has become one of the qualities we most closely associate with her.

Gracie is also intelligent and curious.

She notices what is happening around her and enjoys participating in everyday family life. She can be playful and interested in activity, yet she also knows how to settle comfortably when things become quiet.

Her affectionate personality has made her wonderful around different generations. Her soft approach and calm presence are qualities we deeply value when thinking about the type of family Labradoodle temperament we want to preserve.

Gracie stands approximately 21 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 50 pounds, giving her a lovely medium-to-standard Labradoodle build.

Her beautiful red fleece coat naturally catches people’s attention, but what makes Gracie important to us is not simply what she looks like.

It is her heart.

Her gentle temperament, loyalty, intelligence, nurturing nature and family connection are the qualities at the centre of her breeding program.

Families can learn much more about Gracie personally on Meet Gracie – Our Beautiful Labradoodle and can meet the other mothers behind our program through Our Stunning Females.

Gracie’s Future Pairing

Gracie’s future pairing will be selected with great care, with temperament, health, structure, size, coat and colour genetics considered together.

Our goal is to complement Gracie’s gentle, nurturing and affectionate personality with the calm intelligence, trainability and loving family temperament we value throughout our Poodle lines.

A beautiful puppy is exciting, but colour alone never defines a breeding decision.

Health information, temperament, physical compatibility, structure, expected adult size, coat genetics and the characteristics behind both parents form the much larger picture.

This thoughtful approach provides the foundation for the F1B Labradoodle puppies we want to raise at Cucciolini Doodles.

Families can learn more about the overall program on our Labradoodle Puppies Ontario page.

The Labradoodle Temperament We Are Breeding For

Gracie gives us a beautiful foundation.

She is:

Affectionate

Gentle

Nurturing

Intelligent

Loyal

Calm

People-oriented

Family-focused

Throughout our Poodle lines, we value intelligence, affection, trainability, social confidence and the ability to enjoy both activity and quiet family life.

Our goal is to bring those qualities together when planning F1B Labradoodle puppies in Ontario.

We are breeding for qualities such as:

Gentle and affectionate family companionship

Intelligence and willingness to learn

Social confidence

Strong human connection

Playfulness and curiosity

Comfortable interaction with children and adults

Ability to enjoy activity and then settle

Soft, furnished Labradoodle coats

Balanced structure

Loving, people-focused temperaments

Every puppy remains an individual.

One puppy can be outgoing and adventurous, another softer and more observant and another particularly affectionate and cuddly.

Those individual differences are important.

We spend time with our puppies every day, watching how they interact, respond to handling, play with littermates and connect with people.

Our role is not to make every puppy identical. It is to provide the environment and early experiences that help their individual personalities develop confidently.

Gracie’s DNA Health Testing

Health information plays an important role in our breeding decisions.

Gracie has completed extensive DNA health screening for genetic conditions relevant to her Labrador Retriever and Poodle ancestry.

Testing helps us understand the genetic variants included in her panel and provides information we can use when planning an appropriate pairing.

Families can learn more about all of our parent dogs on our DNA Tested Doodles Ontario page.

Gracie’s DNA Health Results

Gracie’s current reported DNA results include:

Progressive Retinal Atrophy, PRCD-PRA — CLEAR

Golden Retriever PRA1, GR-PRA1 — CLEAR

Golden Retriever PRA2, GR-PRA2 — CLEAR

Von Willebrand Disease Type I — CLEAR

Von Willebrand Disease Type II — CLEAR

Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures, NEWS — CLEAR

Degenerative Myelopathy, DM SOD1A — CLEAR

Exercise-Induced Collapse, EIC — CLEAR

GM2 Gangliosidosis — CLEAR

Centronuclear Myopathy, CNM — CLEAR

Skeletal Dysplasia 2, SD2 — CLEAR

Ichthyosis, Labrador Type — CLEAR

No affected genetic diseases are reported for the tested conditions currently listed for Gracie on our DNA page.

DNA testing is an important tool, but it does not replace the complete picture.

Veterinary care, physical structure, temperament, family history, the health information available for both parents and the suitability of the complete pairing all matter.

Families can also read about the protection provided with our puppies through our Two-Year Health Guarantee.

Understanding Gracie’s Future F1B Labradoodle Puppies

Gracie is an F1 Labradoodle, combining Labrador Retriever and Poodle ancestry.

When an F1 Labradoodle is paired with a Poodle, the resulting puppies are generally referred to as F1B Labradoodles.

The additional Poodle contribution is one reason many families are interested in this generation.

F1B Labradoodles are often selected by families looking for:

Furnished Doodle coats

Soft fleece textures

Lower-shedding coat characteristics

Poodle intelligence and trainability

Labrador companionship

A family-oriented temperament

Generation is only one part of understanding a puppy, however.

Actual coat genetics, parent temperament, structure, size and individual inheritance all matter.

For a much deeper explanation, families can read our complete F1B Labradoodle Guide.

Labradoodle Generations Explained

F1 Labradoodle

An F1 Labradoodle is produced from Labrador Retriever and Poodle parentage.

Gracie herself is an F1 Labradoodle.

Because puppies receive genetic material from both founding breeds, F1 Labradoodles can show variation in coat, furnishings, shedding, size and appearance.

F1B Labradoodle

An F1B Labradoodle is commonly produced by pairing an F1 Labradoodle with a Poodle.

This is the generation associated with Gracie’s future program.

The greater Poodle contribution supports the furnished, fleece and lower-shedding coat characteristics many families are seeking.

F1BB Labradoodle

An F1BB is generally created by pairing an F1B Labradoodle back to a Poodle again.

This produces an even greater Poodle genetic contribution.

Coat and shedding characteristics should still be evaluated from the actual parents and genetics rather than relying on the generation name alone.

F2 Labradoodle

An F2 Labradoodle generally comes from two F1 Labradoodles.

Because genetic combinations can vary considerably, coat type and shedding can also vary between puppies.

Multigenerational Labradoodles

Later generations can involve several different combinations of Labradoodle and Poodle ancestry.

Responsible breeding decisions consider much more than a generation label.

Temperament, health, genetics, structure and the actual parent dogs behind the puppy matter most.

Beautiful Colours in Gracie’s Labradoodle Program

Gracie’s beautiful red fleece coat gives us a wonderful foundation for her future Labradoodle program.

Our planned colour palette for Gracie’s F1B Labradoodle puppies includes beautiful warm colours and markings such as:

Deep Red

Red

Red & White Parti

Apricot

Cream

Chocolate

Chocolate Parti

Warm-toned parti combinations

Other complementary colours supported by the confirmed pairing

Colour inheritance can produce wonderfully individual puppies.

A red-and-white parti puppy can have a completely different blaze, chest marking or distribution of colour from its littermates.

Chocolate can vary in richness and depth.

Reds and apricots can also differ in tone.

That individuality is part of the excitement of watching a litter develop.

But colour remains only one part of the complete puppy.

Our priorities remain temperament, health, structure and family compatibility.

Labradoodle Coat Types

Gracie has a beautiful soft fleece coat.

Future F1B Labradoodle coats can range from gently flowing waves to more defined curls depending on the coat genetics inherited from the parents.

Soft Wavy Fleece Coats

A softly wavy fleece coat creates the classic relaxed Doodle appearance many families love.

These coats feel soft and can have movement rather than tight curl.

They still need regular brushing and combing.

Curlier Fleece Coats

Puppies inheriting stronger curl can develop coats with more obvious Poodle influence.

Curlier coats often retain loose hair within the coat instead of dropping it readily around the home.

This makes regular grooming particularly important.

Furnishings

Furnishings are associated with the familiar longer facial hair seen around the muzzle, eyebrows and beard of many Doodles.

These furnishings contribute to the expressive Labradoodle appearance many families recognize.

Are F1B Labradoodles Lower Shedding?

Many families searching for F1B Labradoodle puppies in Ontario are particularly interested in shedding.

The additional Poodle influence in an F1B Labradoodle supports the likelihood of furnished, low- to very-low-shedding coat characteristics.

Individual coat expression still varies.

No dog should be promised to be completely allergy-proof for every person because allergies can involve proteins found in dander and saliva as well as loose hair.

Families with significant sensitivities can learn more through our Guide to Dog Allergies.

Regardless of shedding level, furnished Labradoodle coats require consistent grooming.

Expected Size of Gracie’s Puppies

Gracie is approximately 50 pounds and 21 inches at the shoulder.

The final adult size of her future puppies will also be influenced by the Poodle selected for her confirmed pairing.

Rather than permanently publishing one expected puppy size that could become inaccurate if a future pairing changes, we will provide the specific expected adult range with each confirmed litter announcement.

This allows Gracie’s Nursery page to remain accurate from year to year while giving families clear size expectations once her litter plans are finalized.

The Labrador Retriever Behind the Labradoodle

The Labrador Retriever represents an important part of the Labradoodle’s foundation.

Labradors have a long history as working retrievers and family companions.

Their connection with people, willingness to work and familiar family-dog qualities are part of what originally made the Labrador Retriever an important foundation breed for the Labradoodle.

Families who would like to learn more can explore the Canadian Kennel Club’s Labrador Retriever breed profile.

Gracie’s Labrador ancestry is part of her background, but we still evaluate Gracie as an individual.

Her actual temperament is what matters to us most.

The Poodle Behind the Labradoodle

The Poodle contributes much more than coat.

Poodles are intelligent, athletic and trainable dogs with a long history of working with people.

Within our own Poodle lines, we especially value:

Intelligence

Trainability

Affection

Social confidence

Docile family temperament

Athletic ability

Furnishings

Lower-shedding coat qualities

Families interested in the parent breed can visit the Canadian Kennel Club’s Standard Poodle breed profile. The CKC describes the Standard Poodle as intelligent, quick to please and an excellent companion.

These characteristics are considered alongside health, size, structure and compatibility when planning Gracie’s future pairing.

Labradoodle Temperament & Family Companionship

One reason families are drawn to Labradoodles is their potential to combine intelligence, companionship and an enjoyment of family interaction.

But general breed descriptions never tell the entire story.

We prefer to tell families about the dogs we actually live with.

Gracie is affectionate.

She is nurturing.

She is loyal.

She is gentle.

She is intelligent.

She is calm.

She enjoys being involved without needing to dominate every moment.

She can participate in family activity and then settle peacefully nearby.

These are not characteristics we chose from a generic Labradoodle description.

They are qualities we know because we live with Gracie.

Socialization Starts Early

A puppy begins learning long before formal training starts.

Early socialization is about providing positive, age-appropriate experiences that allow a puppy to explore the world without being overwhelmed.

Our puppies become familiar with everyday household activities, gentle handling, different sounds, family interaction, new textures, and gradually changing experiences as they develop.

The purpose is not to expose a puppy to everything possible before eight weeks.

The goal is to create a positive foundation that families can continue building after their puppy goes home.

Families can read more through our Puppy Socialization and Training Guide.

Training a Labradoodle Puppy

Labradoodles can be enthusiastic learners.

Puppy training works best when it is positive, consistent and easy for the puppy to understand.

Early training can include:

Name recognition

Recall foundations

Sit

Down

Leash introduction

Comfortable handling

Crate familiarity

Appropriate chewing

Beginning household manners

Learning how to settle

Short, enjoyable sessions can be very effective with young puppies.

Training should not feel like a long classroom lesson.

A few successful minutes repeated throughout the day can teach much more than repeatedly asking a tired puppy to continue.

Recall Training

Recall is one of the most useful behaviours any dog can learn.

Begin in a quiet environment where your puppy is likely to succeed.

Call the puppy, reward the return and make coming back to you something positive.

As reliability improves, distractions can be introduced gradually.

Never intentionally place a young puppy in an unsafe situation simply to test recall.

The goal is to build trust and consistency over time.

Mental Stimulation for Labradoodles

Physical exercise is only one part of a dog’s daily needs.

Intelligent puppies also benefit from opportunities to think.

Mental enrichment can include:

Puzzle toys

Food puzzles

Hide-and-seek games

Scent activities

Retrieving

Short training exercises

Learning new behaviours

Interactive games

Safe chew activities

Mental stimulation does not mean a puppy needs constant entertainment.

Learning how to rest and settle is equally important.

A balanced puppy should become comfortable with both activity and peaceful downtime.

Exercise for Labradoodle Puppies

A growing puppy does not need adult-level exercise.

Activity should develop gradually and remain appropriate for the puppy’s age, size and physical development.

Useful puppy activities include:

Short exploratory walks

Self-paced play

Gentle retrieving

Sniffing

Age-appropriate training

Safe exploration

Playing with family

Growing puppies should not be repeatedly encouraged to jump from significant heights or participate in prolonged forced running.

Families can discuss activity levels with their veterinarian as their puppy grows.

Adult Labradoodle Exercise

Adult Labradoodles can enjoy many different activities depending upon personality and fitness.

These can include:

Daily walks

Hiking

Fetch

Swimming

Training

Exploring

Scent games

Family outings

Backyard play

A good routine is not simply about making a dog physically tired.

Mental activity, companionship, training and appropriate rest are equally valuable.

Labradoodle Grooming & Coat Care

A beautiful F1B Labradoodle coat requires consistent care.

Families should become comfortable with grooming while their puppy is young.

Regular coat maintenance helps prevent small tangles from becoming uncomfortable mats.

Our Puppy Care Guide provides additional information for families preparing for a Doodle puppy.

Brushing & Combing

A long-pin slicker brush and quality metal comb are useful tools for furnished Labradoodle coats.

Brush through the complete depth of the coat rather than simply smoothing across the surface.

Pay particular attention to:

Behind the ears

Under the front legs

Chest

Collar area

Tail

Legs

Areas where a harness creates friction

A metal comb is useful for checking whether the brush has actually reached through the coat.

Professional Grooming

Professional grooming should become a normal part of a Labradoodle’s life.

How often a dog needs professional grooming depends upon:

Coat texture

Coat length

Lifestyle

Brushing routine

The style the family wants to maintain

Families can also read about our personal Doodle coat experience in Do Labradoodles Shed? My Grooming Experience.

Bathing

Labradoodles can be bathed as needed with an appropriate dog shampoo.

Check the coat for tangles and mats before bathing.

Mats can tighten when wet, making them harder and more uncomfortable to remove.

The coat should be dried thoroughly after bathing.

Ear Care

Floppy, furnished ears should be checked regularly.

Become familiar with what your dog’s healthy ears normally look and smell like.

Persistent scratching, redness, unusual discharge, odour or discomfort should be discussed with your veterinarian.

Nail Care

Regular nail maintenance is an important part of puppy care.

Begin handling the puppy’s paws while young so nail trims become a familiar part of life.

Families can follow our How to Trim Puppy Nails Guide for additional guidance.

Dental Care

Dental care should begin as part of a puppy’s normal handling routine.

Gradually introducing mouth handling and tooth brushing can make ongoing dental care much easier.

Your veterinarian can also provide recommendations appropriate for your puppy.

Skin, Flea, Tick & Parasite Care

Regular grooming is also an opportunity to look carefully at your dog’s skin.

While brushing, watch for:

Redness

Irritation

Tender areas

Unusual bumps

Changes in coat condition

Fleas

Ticks

Other parasites

Dogs enjoying outdoor activities can be exposed to fleas and ticks.

Our website includes additional information on flea and tick care for dogs.

Prevention needs vary by dog, lifestyle and location, so families should discuss an appropriate program with their veterinarian.

Early Grooming Acclimation

One of the most helpful things a family can do is make grooming feel normal from puppyhood.

Practice gently:

Touching paws

Looking inside ears

Handling the muzzle

Opening the mouth briefly

Brushing for short periods

Using a comb

Touching the tail

Rewarding calm cooperation

These small experiences can make veterinary visits and professional grooming much easier later.

Nutrition & Feeding

Nutrition is especially important during growth.

Rather than assuming every Labradoodle should eat the same number of cups each day, feeding should consider:

Age

Expected adult size

Body condition

Activity level

Metabolism

Growth

Nutritional density of the food

Young puppies generally eat smaller meals more frequently.

As they mature, meal frequency gradually changes.

Families receive feeding information when their puppy goes home and can make adjustments as necessary with veterinary guidance.

Fresh water should always be available.

Training treats are useful, but they should remain only a portion of the puppy’s total daily food intake.

Families can also explore our Puppy Nutrition Guidance for additional information.

Preparing for Your Labradoodle Puppy

Preparing before pickup makes the transition easier for everyone.

Before your puppy comes home, consider organizing:

Safe sleeping area

Puppy crate

Food

Food and water bowls

Collar or harness

Leash

ID information

Puppy-safe toys

Appropriate chews

Grooming tools

Cleaning supplies

Baby gates or puppy-safe areas

A plan for potty breaks

We also recommend selecting your veterinarian before pickup.

Our New Puppy Checklist can help families organize the essentials.

Families preparing for sleeping arrangements and crate routines can also read our Puppy Stages & Crate Training Guide.

On Pickup Day

Pickup day is one of the most memorable parts of the puppy journey.

It is the day a puppy leaves the home, mother and littermates it has known and begins a completely new chapter with its family.

We want families to leave feeling prepared and supported.

You are not simply handed a puppy and sent home.

We provide important records, useful information, familiar food, comfort items and ongoing support to help make the transition easier.

Two-Year Health Warranty

Families receive a written Puppy Contract explaining important information and responsibilities connected with their puppy.

Puppy Information Package

Families receive useful information covering:

Puppy care

Feeding

Training

Grooming

Household routines

Socialization

Transition into the new home

Lifetime Support

Our relationship with families does not end on pickup day.

Questions often arise during puppyhood, adolescence and adulthood.

Deworming

Deworming records are provided to the family.

Our puppy program includes deworming during the puppy’s early weeks, including at approximately:

2 weeks

5 weeks

8 weeks

Initial Puppy Vaccinations

Age-appropriate first vaccinations are administered before the puppy leaves according to the veterinary schedule in place for the litter.

The vaccination information is included in the puppy’s records.

Six Weeks of Complimentary Pet Insurance

Our puppy families currently receive six weeks of complimentary Petsecure pet insurance during the transition into their new home.

Families receive enrollment information and can review current Petsecure Plans & Coverage if they would like to continue coverage after the complimentary period.

Because insurance products and policy details can change, families should review the current Petsecure information supplied at the time their puppy goes home.

Puppy Food & Comfort Items

A puppy is already experiencing a major transition when leaving its mother, littermates and familiar home.

We do not want an unnecessary abrupt food change added to that experience.

Families receive approximately one week’s supply of the food their puppy has been eating to help support a smoother transition.

The puppy’s take-home package can also include:

Scented blanket

Toy

Leash

Collar

Bandana

Scented waste bags

Additional puppy goodies

The exact items can vary, but their purpose remains the same: helping families begin those first days feeling more prepared.

Guidance for Your Puppy’s First Days at Home

Families receive practical guidance for establishing good routines.

Topics include:

Creating a daily schedule

Feeding times and portions

Potty training

Crate introduction

Puppy sleep

Grooming

Socialization

Training

Handling

Veterinary follow-up

Helping a puppy adjust to the new home

Families can also use our New Puppy Checklist and Puppy Socialization Guide as they prepare.

The first few days do not need to be filled with constant visitors and excitement.

Your puppy has just experienced an enormous change.

A peaceful introduction, predictable routine, patient supervision and plenty of sleep can make the adjustment much easier.
