When people begin searching for a Goldendoodle Breeder in Ontario, they are usually looking for a puppy. What many discover along the way is that they are actually searching for something much deeper: companionship, connection, loyalty, and a dog that will become a true member of their family.
For me, choosing Goldendoodles was never about following a trend. It was about intentionally combining two extraordinary breeds—the Golden Retriever and the Poodle—to create a companion that truly fits modern family life.
When I listened to what families were asking for, the same themes kept coming up. They wanted a dog that was loving, intelligent, easy to train, gentle with children, friendly with visitors, adaptable to different lifestyles, and capable of forming strong emotional bonds. Again, the Goldendoodle checked all those boxes.
Golden Retrievers bring kindness, patience, loyalty, and a calm, dependable nature. Poodles contribute intelligence, athleticism, trainability, and strong people-oriented personalities. Together, they create a dog that is affectionate, intuitive, playful, and deeply connected to its family.
That combination captured my heart and became the foundation of our Goldendoodle program at Cucciolini Doodles.
What Is a Goldendoodle?
A Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. The goal is not simply to create a beautiful dog but to combine the most desirable qualities of both breeds.
Goldendoodles are often:
While every dog is unique, Goldendoodles have earned a reputation for becoming much more than pets. They become family.
Our current Goldendoodle program focuses on Medium Goldendoodles.
As adults, our Goldendoodles typically weigh 45 – 60 pounds and stand approximately 21-23 inches at the shoulder.
Many families appreciate this size because it offers an ideal balance between athletic ability and manageability.
We are excited to introduce Mini Goldendoodles in 2027.
Our Mini Goldendoodles are expected to mature between 20 and 30 pounds and stand approximately 15 to 20 inches tall.
These smaller companions will be wonderful for families living in condominiums, apartments, retirement communities, and smaller homes while still offering the loving Goldendoodle personality families adore.
At Cucciolini Doodles, our Goldendoodle program may produce:
While colour is exciting, I always encourage families to prioritize temperament and compatibility first.
F1 Goldendoodle
A first-generation cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle.
F1B Goldendoodle
A Goldendoodle bred back to a Poodle.
A Goldendoodle produced from multiple generations of Goldendoodle lineage.
Each generation offers unique coat characteristics, shedding tendencies, and genetic diversity.
If there is one reason Goldendoodles continue to capture the hearts of families across Ontario, it is their temperament.
Goldendoodles are often affectionate without being overwhelming, playful without being hyperactive, and intelligent without being difficult.
Many owners describe them as dogs that want to be wherever their people are.
One of the qualities that impresses me most is their emotional awareness. Many Goldendoodles seem incredibly intuitive and often sense when someone needs comfort or companionship.
This ability to connect deeply with people is one of the reasons I fell in love with the breed.
Luna is the heart of our Goldendoodle program.
From the moment she entered our lives, she possessed a sweetness and emotional intelligence that made it impossible not to love her. She is affectionate, intuitive, gentle with children, incredibly loyal, and one of the most devoted mothers I have ever had the privilege of raising.
What makes Luna truly special is the depth of her connection with her people.
One of the qualities I admire most about Luna is her devotion to the people she loves.
While she enjoys meeting new people on walks and is friendly in public, Luna becomes incredibly attentive when she is at home with her family and puppies.
She takes her role as a mother and companion seriously. When visitors arrive, particularly during puppy pickup appointments, she often feels responsible for letting us know someone is here. She is observant, protective, and deeply connected to the people she loves.
What I appreciate most is that her protectiveness comes from loyalty rather than fear. Once she understands someone is welcome, she settles beautifully and returns to the affectionate, gentle girl we know and love.
Her devotion, loyalty, and watchful nature are simply another reflection of how deeply she loves her family.
Before joining our breeding program, Luna completed comprehensive Embark DNA testing and was screened for more than 350 genetic health conditions.
Luna tested clear for:
Bennie contributes intelligence, athleticism, trainability, coat quality, and exceptional health genetics to our Goldendoodle program.
His rich, deep-red colouring, beautiful structure, and affectionate temperament make him a wonderful complement to Luna.
Bennie completed comprehensive Embark DNA testing and was screened for more than 350 genetic health conditions.
He tested clear for:
Bennie’s excellent health profile, temperament, and structure support our commitment to responsible breeding.
Health testing is one of the most important tools responsible breeders use when planning future litters.
By screening our breeding dogs for inherited genetic conditions before breeding, we can make informed pairing decisions that help reduce the risk of hereditary diseases and contribute to healthier future generations.

One of my favourite parts of breeding is hearing from families after they bring their puppy home.
The first thing families often mention is how easy it is to train their puppy.
The second is how attached the puppy becomes to its people. We often jokingly call them “Velcro Dogs” because they simply love being near their family.
Families also share stories about funny personalities, goofy sleeping positions, playful antics, and the incredible emotional connection they experience with their dog.
Again and again, families tell us their Goldendoodle has become one of the best decisions they have ever made.
Families Across Ontario and Beyond
Families have welcomed our Goldendoodle puppies into homes throughout:
as well as across Canada and the United States.
Are Goldendoodles good family dogs?
Yes. Goldendoodles are known for their affectionate, intelligent, and people-oriented nature.
Do Goldendoodles shed?
Shedding varies depending on coat type and genetics. No breeder can guarantee a completely non-shedding dog.
What sizes do you breed?
Medium Goldendoodles currently. Mini Goldendoodles are planned for 2027.
Do you health test your breeding dogs?
Yes. Our breeding dogs undergo complete, comprehensive DNA screening covering hundreds of genetic health conditions.
Can I apply for a puppy in the future?
Absolutely. Families are welcome to join our waitlist through our adoption application process.
What I love most about Goldendoodles is not their appearance, their popularity, or even their intelligence.
It is their ability to become part of a family.
Over the years, I have watched our puppies grow into best friends, trusted companions, hiking partners, emotional support animals, and beloved family members.
I have received photos of children sleeping beside their dogs, retirees enjoying daily walks with their companions, and families who tell me their home simply feels more complete because their puppy is part of it.
Those moments remind me why I do this.
Every puppy entrusted to our care represents a future friendship, a future source of comfort, and a future member of someone’s family.
That responsibility is something I take very seriously.
And it is a privilege I never take for granted.
