Bennie is important to us because he brings so many of the qualities we look for when planning a litter: intelligence, affection, a beautiful red coat, Poodle coat influence, and a loving personality.

As a Standard Poodle, Bennie may contribute furnishings, curl, trainability, and lower-shedding coat influence. Depending on the female and the complete pairing, he may also contribute red, apricot, cream, or other warm-toned colours.

But colour is never the only reason we choose a pairing. We look at health, temperament, size, coat, structure, and whether the two dogs make sense together. The goal is always to raise healthy, loving puppies who can become beautiful companions for the right families.

Bennie’s DNA Health Testing

DNA health testing is one of the tools we use when planning responsible pairings. Bennie’s results help us understand the tested genetic conditions connected to his Standard Poodle background and guide us when choosing the right female for a future litter.

Bennie has been reported clear for the following tested conditions:

• Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures, NEWS — Clear

• Von Willebrand Disease Type I, vWD1 — Clear
• Von Willebrand Disease Type II, vWD2 — Clear

No affected genetic diseases were reported for the tested conditions listed above. DNA testing is important, but it is not the only thing we consider. We also look at veterinary care, temperament, structure, coat, the health of both parents, and the suitability of the pairing.

We do not post complete laboratory certificates publicly because documents can be copied or misused online. Appropriate health information can be reviewed with approved applicants when needed.

Bennie’s red coat is one of the first things people notice about him. Depending on the female and the genetics of the pairing, he may contribute red, deep red, apricot, cream, or other warm-toned puppies.

His Poodle genetics may also influence furnishings, curl, and lower-shedding coat qualities. Some puppies may have softly wavy fleece coats, while others may be curlier. Coat texture, colour, markings, and size can vary, even within the same litter.
